The Waterfall

The Waterfall

The water bubbles up from springs so clear
And starts its journey down from woods to sea
From rivulet and run flashes appear
Till streams and creeks run smoothly as can be

The water rushes smoothly to the edge
And leaps out into air so gracefully
It falls towards the pool but hits a ledge
Is changed from rush to foam so beautifully

Continuing their fall the two combine
And splash into the pool so turbulent
And make unending bubbles that entwine
And air makes water so exuberant

The water whirls around till it escapes
And into a wide river it reshapes
