Learning To Listen

The ravens speak
As do the streams
The water sings
The trees repeat
A chorus of Him

But I am god
I need not listen
I know my plans
And my intentions
The chorus is noise

The thunder shouts
Just after the flash
The torrent builds
Washing away debri.
For a new beginning

But I am busy
I dont have time
For interruptions
Or to change direction
The shout is just noise

Then something breaks
A tree in the woods
My plans are gone
I am crushed
The world rushes in

I am not God
I run to the mountain
I am alone
The silence accuses me
My world is empty

The ravens speak
As do the streams
The water sings
The trees repeat
A chorus of Him

I listen
